Heart Matters Ministries is so named because it is what’s in our heart that really matters.  Our heart; our “inner man”, the very core of our being, is the residing place of the forces (the belief systems, principles, concepts, and heart-attitudes) that shape and drive our lives.  We believe that the Word of God holds the key for us to; face, deal with, change, and reinforce the issues that comprise our “heart matters”.  This enables God to bring His salvation, deliverance, healing, peace, restoration, and wholeness into our lives.  Changed lives is the heart beat of Heart Matters Ministries.

Proverbs 4:23

“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”  (NKJV)

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.  (Amplified Bible)

“Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it.” (God’s Word Translation)

In examining the meanings of the Hebrew word “tôtsâʾâh” (to-tsaw-aw’), that is translated “issues”, “springs”, and “source” in Proverbs 4:23, we can also find the words “boundary” and “border”. With that in mind, I find a meaningful rendering of Proverbs 4:23 to be; “Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it come the boundaries of your life.”

It is what’s in our heart that really matters!
